INDIAN RIVER MEMORIAL HOSPITAL is a community, not-for-profit hospital situated on an 80-acre campus in Vero Beach. Indian River Memorial Hospital consists of a 243-bed acute care hospital, a 46-bed psychiatric facility - The Center for Emotional and Behavioral Health, the Indian River Regional Cancer Center, The Surgery Center and the Transitional Care Program.
IRMH is accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services and offers special programs for seniors through Regard Plus.
Off-campus services include physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation; Partners in Women's Health offers specialized care for women; and the Gifford Health Center, a primary care Source for the entire family.
Other medical specialties offered at Indian River Memorial Hospital include the Joint Implant Center, the Sleep Disorders Center and the Family Birth and Women's Center. IRMH also offers ASK-A-NURSE, a free medical information and physician referral service that can be called 24-hours a clay at 563-IRMH (4764). Lifeline, a TTT personal emergency response service, also is available.
Indian River Memorial Hospital employs more than 1,300 people while 475 members of the hospital's auxiliary Volunteer their services. The medical staff includes more than 200 physicians practicing in all major specialties.
